Shark Cage Diving

We can arrange a specialised diving operation to offer haunting encounters with the Great White shark. The tours operate out of the peaceful fishing village of Gansbaai, Western Cape, South Africa. Only six nautical miles from shore lies Dyer Island (Shark Alley), undoubtedly the best location in the world to view these magnificent apex predators. 

Dyer Island is a bird sanctuary and is a primary breeding site for the African penguin as well as many other coastal marine birds species. Adjoining Dyer is a second rocky island know as Geyser rock. This rough and rocky island supports a large seal population. Between the two is a channel famously named "Shark Alley", arguably the prime spot and often the ideal setting to encounter the adrenaline pumped encounters with Great Whites.

Both snorkel and scuba dives within the well tried and tested re-enforced shark cage are on offer. For those that prefer to stay high and dry, both the bottom and top decks still offer views and thrills galore. Underwater cameras and a must and are catered for. In addition a personalised video or DVD of the encounters can be arranged.

Throughout July - December the Southern Right Whales are abundant in the bay and a separate tour can be arranged to see these incredible marine mammals.
